Drop Zone - Winelands
It's a 2 hours drive from Cape Town via the beautiful winelands of the Western Cape before you arrive in Robertson, where the drop zone is surrounded by the winelands and the Langeberg mountain range.
Robertson lies on the banks of the Breede River and it is a famous weekend getaway for Capetonians or a perfect first stop on your South Africa trip. You can visit one of the wineries, go on a wine tasting cruise or even get your feet wet on some river rafting on Breede River. Additionally you find different accommodation to choose from and also some very good restaurants, which we can recommend.
The dropzone is run by the Western Province Sport Parachute Club, which was established in 1972. It is a sports club which is owned and operated by its members on a voluntary basis. The Clubs own plane is a Cessna 206 turbo which can carry 6 skydivers to 11.000feet. They operate on weekends and public holidays only or after prior arrangements.
